Weld RE-4 FFA Students Earn State Championships, Elected State President

(Windsor, Colo.) —  Weld RE-4 School District students from Severance High School and Windsor High School earned top awards at the Colorado State FFA Convention in Pueblo, Colo., this summer.

Colorado FFA President

Following a rigorous selection process at the annual state convention, 10 student members were elected by their peers to serve on the 2026 - 2027 Colorado FFA State Officer Team. Severance High’s T. Brody Jones will serve as state President.

Over the next year, Jones will put his personal goals on hold to dedicate a year of service to the state's 8,000+ FFA members. As President, Jones will travel thousands of miles across Colorado, visiting local chapters, leading leadership workshops, and acting as an ambassador for the agricultural industry. The state leadership team will also represent Colorado at the National FFA Convention and Expo, collaborate with state agricultural leaders, and advocate for Career and Technical Education (CTE).

“We couldn’t be more proud of the time and work Brody has dedicated to Severance FFA and are excited to see him lead the Colorado association,” said Brooke Larson, Severance FFA Chapter Advisor. “Brody has demonstrated a deep passion for agriculture, a commitment to service, and the leadership skills necessary to inspire our members. We are incredibly proud of him and look forward to seeing the positive impact he will make across Colorado.”

Windsor High School FFA students earned a State Championship title in Parliamentary Procedure and Ag Communications.

“Parliamentary Procedure is one of the most prestigious contests to win in Colorado,” said Windsor FFA Chapter Advisor Melinda Spaur. “It's been nine years since the school last won.”
