Community Bike Night - June 5
The Town of Windsor's annual Bike Night is just around the corner. The Police Department and the Windsor Optimist Club will hold the community event from 6-8pm Tuesday, June 5 at Boardwalk Park . The evening will kick off with a family-friendly bike parade around Windsor Lake at 6:15pm led by a bicycle patrol officer. After the parade, kids under 12 years old are invited to participate in bicycle safety stations: an obstacle course, bicycle registration, helmet giveaways, and helmet and bike safety checks. At check-in, safety station participants will be given a passport. Once complete, passports can be turned in for a prize pack. Helmets and prize packs will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis while supplies last. The Police Department will offer $3 per person hamburger or hot dog meal deals. Proceeds will benefit the Windsor Optimist Club. The event is also sponsored by Spokes Bicycles and the Johnny Jacoby Community Foundation.
